WM Brokers team to run the London Marathon 2023

WM Brokers Managing Director David McGowan and Account Executive Matt Scutcher to run the London Marathon 2023.

Both David and Matt are running in aid of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. They are aiming to raise £4,000 between them. All donations will be very gratefully received and will certainly spur them on to cross the finish line and complete this mammoth task.

Of his marathon place David said “The London Marathon has always been on my bucket list, I just never had the confidence to do it. However watching the 2022 London Marathon I knew I was going to have to give it a go. The stars aligned when I met Kate Alden from the Helen Rollason Charity, we had a great conversation about the excellent work they do and how we at WM Brokers could help. We then talked about the marathon and she advised that she had some spaces which myself and my colleague could use. I now have no excuses but to get on with it and start raising money for this excellent charity!

Matt added “I have been distance running since 2005 and have attempted to obtain a place in the London Marathon via the ballot for the last 15 years. I have run this distance before, by completing the Edinburgh Marathon (a long time ago now) and although I stated in the aftermath that I would never do it again, that feeling has faded and the urge to run the ultimate race, the London Marathon, soon returned. I remember growing up watching the event on TV and to now actually have a chance to run it and raise money for a very deserving charity is definitely a bucket list moment.

We wish them both the very best of luck and we are very proud of them for taking this on, and for such a great cause too. To sponsor / donate to please do this via their Just Giving pages, links below.
